3 Microsoft Tools That Detect Viruses Windows Defender Misses

If your computer feels infected but antivirus scans come up clean, Microsoft offers hidden tools that may help. The Malicious Software Removal Tool, Safety Scanner, and Defender Offline Scan each serve a unique purpose in catching malware.

Windows 11 is finally killing off legacy printer drivers in 2026 — and it’s going to shake up a lot of older hardware

The next system update for Windows 11 could break your printer. Here's what you need to know.

Stop Shutting Down Your PC (Do This Instead)

Have you ever shut down your Windows laptop, turned it back on, and the problem was still there?
That’s not a coincidence. On modern versions of Windows, shut down is not the same as restart — and that difference is exactly why restarting fixes bugs when shutting down doesn’t.

If your Wi-Fi won’t connect, Bluetooth is acting up, updates won’t install, or your PC just feels “off,” this explains why restarting works — and when you should use it.

Watch until the end for the fastest way to restart Windows without opening the Start menu.

The little-known Android app that freed up 10GB on my smartphone

One thing almost every Android user eventually runs into is running out of storage on their phone.  The solutions most people turn to are buying cloud storage, offloading files to an external drive, or buying a phone with more internal storage the next time around.

However, these options are not always practical. I recently found myself in the same situation.

Curious to see what was actually eating up space on my phone, I came across a few underrated Android apps that clearly show what is hogging your storage and, more importantly, how you can free up space without randomly deleting things.

I found 20 GB of deleted files hiding in these 3 Android apps

Apps like Gallery, Files, and WhatsApp love to hold on to files in their trash folders in case you change your mind. In my case, that “temporary” storage was taking up more than 15% of the total storage space. And on a 128GB phone, that’s way too much to ignore.
